So have you had to had to battle with the fruit flies? I have, and it has driven me bonkers.
I have finally found a remedy that works for me.
Fill a ramekin sized container half way with apple cider vinegar and a few drops of soap.

Alicia, I use a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, some sugar, some dish soap, and water to the brim of a glass, and set it out. It is amazing. No more fruit flies for me.
